  • ध्वनि की दृष्टि, से उर्दू का चौबीसवां अक्षर जिसे राए हिन्दी और राए सक़ीला(भारी) भी कहते हैं. इसका उच्चारण ''ड़े'' है. ये अक्षर अरबी और फ़ारसी में नहीं है, उर्दू में भी ये किसी शब्द के आरंभ में कभी कभी ही आता है. वाक्य के हिसाब में उसे ''रे'' का ही एक रुप ख्याल करके इसकी गिन्ती भी दो सौ रखी गई है, ' ड़े ' की ध्वनि दक्षिण भारत की प्राचीन ध्वनियों में है और द्रविणी वंश से है
