- ۱۔ خدا حافظ ؛ سلام کے ساتھ ؛ (عموماً اختتام تحریر پر لکھتے ہیں یا رخصت ہوتے وقت کہتے ہیں) ۔
- اور سلامتی ہو ؛ (مجازاً) خدا حافظ (عربی فقرہ عموماً اختتام تحریر پر خط میں لکھتے ہیں) ، (رک : ’’ و ‘‘ مع تحتی الفاظ) ۔
- ۲۔ (مجازاً) جس پر کچھ تحریر نہ ہو ، بالکل کورا ، صاف نیز جس میں صاف صاف جواب ہو ۔
