- وہ گروہ جو حضرت علی ؓ کی شہادت کے فوری بعد اور خوارج کی سرگرمیوں سے پیدا ہوا اس گروہ نے عقائد و عبادات و معمولات میں کسی قسم کا تصرف نہیں کیا یہ لوگ نماز روزہ حج زکواۃ اور قرآن و سنت کے تمام احکامات پر مکمل عمل پیرا رہے مگر ان میں صرف یہ فرق تھا کہ رسول اللہ ؐ کے تمام صحابہ کرام میں حضرت علیؓ کو علم و عمل کے اعتبار سے افضل سمجھتے اس عقیدہ کے لوگ سنیوں میں بھی موجود تھے جو دیگر صحابہ سے حضرت علیؓ کو افضل سمجھتے ہیں مگر ان کا خلافت راشدہ پر بھی ایمان کامل ہے
