ایک طرح کا زجاجی (چینی) مرکب، جو متعدد معدنی آکسائڈوں سے دھات کے برتنوں پرچڑھایا جاتا ہے، شورہ، سہاگہ، سوڈا، بورک ایسڈ، پنڈول اور مختلف معدنی دھاتوں کو نہایت باریک پیس کر بڑی بڑی بھٹیوں میں خوب پکاتے ہیں، پھر جس برتن پر تام چینی چڑھانا ہو، اسے صاف کرکے اس میں ڈال دیتے ہیں، بعد میں برتن کو خشک کرلیتے ہیں، یہ عمل دو تین مرتبہ دہرایا جاتا ہے، اکثر اچھی تام چینی کے لئے چار دفعہ یہی عمل کیا جاتا ہے
