- پنجابی شاعری کی مخصوص صنف سخن. اس میں حروف تہجَی کے حساب اور ترتیب سے اشعار کہے جاتے ہیں اشعار کی تعداد مقرر نہیں ہوتی لیکن یہ پابندی ضروری ہوتی ہے کہ ہر بند کے شروع میں آنے والے حرف کی آواز والے لفظ سے مصرع شروع ہوتا ہے اور ابتدأ میں آنے والا یہ حرف با قاعدہ تقطیع میں شمار ہوتا ہے مصرع پڑھتے وقت اسے بھی پڑھا جاتا ہے
