- किसी चीज के ऊपर लगाया जानेवाला कोई मोटा लेप, जैसे- शरीर के रुग्ण अंग पर लगाया जानेवाला औषध या पलस्तर, टूटी हड्डी को जोड़ने या किसी अंग को स्थिर करने के लिए चढ़ाया जाने वाला कोई मोटा लेप, (प्लास्टर), मजबूती तथा सुरक्षा के लिए दीवारों, फ़र्श, छतों आदि पर किया जानेवाला बरी, बालू, सीमेंट अथवा मिट्टी का मोटा लेप, मुहा०-(किसी का) पलस्तर ढोला होना या बिगड़ना, कष्ट, रोग आदि के कारण बहुत-कुछ जर्जर या शिथिल होना
