- (طب) حرارت وحدت کے باعث کسی خلط کے اجزاے لطیف و رقیق کا نحلیل و فنا ہونا اور سابقی کا اس قدر کثیف ہوجانا کہ وہ خلط اپنی جنس سے خارج ہو جائے (اور سوداے غیر طبعی بن جائے) نہ یہ کہ جل کر خاکستر ہوجائے ، خلط کی جنس کا استجالہ (بیشتر خلط یا خون وغیرہ کے ساتھ مستعمل) .
- (نجوم) چاند کے علاوہ کسی سیارے کا سورج کے ساتھ کسی برج میں ایک درجے اور ایک دقیقے میں اجتماع (جس سے اس سیارے کی شعاعیں چھپ جاتی ہیں) .
