- (منطق) مثلث کی دو ساقوں کو غیر متناہی فرض کر کے اُن دونوں کے بیچ میں جو مسافت واقع ہو اُس میں خطوط کھین٘چے جاتے ہیں پھر جس قدر ان ساقوں کو طول دیا جائے اُسی قدر درمیانی مسافت پیدا ہوتی ہے اور اُس میں خطوط بڑھتے ہیں مگر سب خطوط دو حدوں میں جو دونوں ساقوں سے قائم ہوتی ہیں گھرے ہوں گے ؛ برہان سلّمی .
