विशेष • कहावत उस समय की है जब लोग चरखे से सूत कात कर जुलाहों को बुनने के लिए दे दिया करते थे। किसी ने बुनने के लिए सूत दिया परंतु जब मज़दूरी देने का वक़्त आया तो कहा कि हमारा सूत घट गया है।
