- किसी चटपटी वस्तु के खाते या चाटते समय ताल पर जीभ टकराने से होनेवाला शब्द।। पद-चटकारे का = इतना स्वादिष्ठ कि खाने या पीने के समय मुंह से चट चट शब्द होता हो। जैसे-चटकारे की तरकारी या हलुआ।
- कोई स्वादिष्ठ चीज खाने या पीने के बाद उसके स्वाद की वह स्मृति जो वह चीज फिर से खाने या पीने का चसका उत्पन्न करे। मुहा०-चटकारे भरना = खूब चाट-चाटकर और स्वाद लेते हुए कोई चीज खाना यापीना। खाने-पीने के समय जीभ से होंठ चाटते रहना। + वि० १. = चटकीला। २. = चटपटा। वि० [सं० चटुल] [स्त्री० चटकारी] चंचल। चपल।
