وہ بدعت جس پر عمل جائز ہو اور مکروہ یا حرام نہ ہو.

خوارج کی ایک شاخ جیسے خود خارجی بدعتی کہتے ہیں کیونکہ وہ صرف دو وقت کی نماز کے قائل ہیں . دیگر عقائد میں بہ فرقہ عام خارجی فرقوں کی طرح ہے.

وہ بدعت جس پر واجب احکام کی تعمیل منحصر ہو.

وہ بدعت جس میں نمائش اور غیر ضروری زیب و زینت کے سوا کوئی فائدہ نہ ہو.
