साथ के हिंदी अर्थ
संज्ञा, पुल्लिंग
- तिससे
- वह अवस्था जिसमें (क) दो या अधिक वस्तुएँ एक दूसरे के निकट स्थित हों। जैसे-दोनों मकान साथ ही हैं। और (ख) दो या अधिक जीव निकट संपर्क में रहते हों। जैसे-छात्रावास में हम दोनों का कुछ दिनों तक साथ रहा है। विशेष-संग और साथ में मुख्य अंतर यह है कि संग तो अधिक गहरा या घनिष्ठ और चिर-कालिक होता है, पर साथ अपेक्षया कम घनिष्ठ और प्रायः अल्पकालिक होता है। पद-साथ का (या को) पूरी, रोटी आदि के साथ खाई जानेवाली तरकारी, भाजी या सालन। साथ का खेला = बचपन का ऐसा साथी जिससे मिलकर खेलते रहे हों। मुहा०-(किसी का) साथ देना = किसी काम में संग रहना। सहानु भूति रखते हुए सहायता देना। जैसे-इस काम में हम तुम्हारा साथ देंगे। (किसी को अपने साथ लेना = अपने संग रखना या ले चलना। जैसे-जब तुम चलने लगना, तो हमें भी साथ ले लेना। (किसी के साथ सोना = मैथुन या संभोग करना।
