تت سم اول سوم مفتوح۔غیر زبان سے لئے ہوئے لفظ کی اصل کو تت سم کہا جاتا ہے اور اس کی بدلی ہوئی رائج مقامی شکل کو ’’تد بھو‘‘ کہتے ہیں۔عام اصول ہے کہ تت سم کے مقابلے میں تدبھو زیادہ سبک اور سڈول ہوتا ہے۔ یہ اصطلاح سنسکرت علما نے ایجاد کی تھی اور عموماً سنسکرت ہی الفاظ کے لئے بولی جاتی ہے۔ اصولاً اس کو تمام غیر زبانوں کے الفاظ کے لئے برتنے میں کوئی ہرج نہیں۔ مثال کے طور پر بعض سنسکرت تت سم اور اردو تدبھو حسب ذیل ہیں: تت سم تد بھو آدتیہ وار اتوار/ایتوار آشچریہ اچرج اکشر/اکچھر انچھر/اکھر ایودھیا اجودھیا ویاکل بیکل دگدھ دودھ کشیتر کھیت گرہ گھر مرنڑ مرنا/مرن یوون جوبن اسی طرح، انگریزی تت سم اور اردو تدبھو کی بعض مثالیں مرقوم الذیل ہیں: تت سم تد بھو Aide de camp(اصل تلفظ: ایڈ ڈَکاں) ایڈی کانگ Attache Case(اصل تلفظ: اتیشے کیس) اٹیچی کیس Bobbin Net بابر لیٹ Bull Dog گلڈانک Cabinet کابینہ Captain کپتان Glass گیلاس/گلاس Parliament پارلیمان/پارلیمنٹ دیکھئے،’’یو ون‘‘۔
