- (تصّوف) سُنَّۃ ترکِ دُنیا کو کہتے ہیں حضرت جنید کا ارشاد ہے کہ الفریضۃ حبِ المولیٰ والسنۃ ترک الدنیا . یعنی فرض خدا کی محبت ہے اور سُنَّت دنیا کا ترک کرنا.
- ۱. روش ، دستور ، رِواج ، طریقہ ، عادت ، راہ ، قانون.
- رک : سُنَّت .
- ۲. (فقہ) آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا قول فعل یا فرمان.
- ۳. نماز کی وہ رکعتیں جو فرض نہیں اور جو آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرض نماز سے پہلے یا بعد پڑھی ہیں.
- ۴. ختنہ .
- ۵. تصوف ، ترکِ دنیا.
