ریش قاضی شراب یا بھنگ چھاننے کا کپڑا یا روئی، یا کبھی کبھی وہ روئی یا کپڑا جس سے شراب کی صراحی کو بند کرتے ہیں۔ یہ محاورے کا معاملہ ہے، اس کا مطلب یہ نہ نکالنا چاہئے کہ اس میں قاضی جیسے ثقہ شخص کی توہین ہے۔ ناسخ ؎ نہ پائی ریش قاضی تولیا عمامۂ مفتی مزاج ان مے فروشوں کابھی کیا ہی لاابالی ہے مزید دیکھئے، ’’مزاج‘‘۔
