- एक प्रकार का पेड़ और उसका फल, यह पेड़ महुवे के पेड़ जैसा होता है, इसमें फ़ालसे के समान गोल-गोल फल लगते हैं, एक प्रकार का फल जिसमें मीठे गूदे की पतली परत होती है जिसके नीचे चपटे बीज होते हैं बीजों की गरी स्वाद में बादाम और पिस्ते के जैसा मीठा होता है यह मेवों की श्रेणी में गिना जाता है और चिरौंजी के नाम से बेचा जाता है
