نشا خاطر اول مکسور۔ ’’مطمئن، تسلی کی کیفیت، خاطرنشیں‘‘ کے معنی میں ’’خاطر نشاں‘‘ اور ’’نشاں خاطر‘‘ فارسی میں بھی ہیں اور اردو میں بھی۔ لیکن ان معنی میں’’نشا خاطر‘‘ صرف اردو ہے۔ ’’نور اللغات‘‘ میں اس کا اندراج کرکے لکھا ہے، ’’عورتوں کا محاورہ‘‘، اور امداد علی بحر کا شعر نقل کیا ہے۔ اثر لکھنوی کہتے ہیں کہ یہاں ’’نشاں خاطر‘‘ رہا ہوگا، جسے صاحب ’’نوراللغات‘‘ نے’’نشا خاطر‘‘ پڑھ لیا۔ میں نے امداد علی بحر کا دیوان دیکھا تو اثر صاحب کی بات ٹھیک پائی۔ لیکن اس کا مطلب یہ نہیں کہ ’’نشا خاطر‘‘ کوئی لفظ ہی نہیں ہے۔ ’’نوراللغات‘‘ میں تو ہے ہی، ’’آصفیہ‘‘، پلیٹس، اور فیلن میں بھی موجود ہے۔ پلیٹس نے لفظ ’’نشا‘‘ کا اندراج الگ سے بھی کیا ہے۔ فیلن نے’’نشا خاطر‘‘ کو ’’عورتوں اور جہلا‘‘ کی زبان کہا ہے، لیکن استعمال کی ایسی مثالیں بھی لکھی ہیں جنھیں جہلا کی زبان نہیں کہا جاسکتا۔
