مفلوک الحال اردو والوں نے’’فلک‘‘ کے استعاراتی معنی (’’ظالم ہستی، انسانوں کودکھ دینے والی اورانصاف نہ کرنے والی ہستی‘‘) کو لغوی معنی قراردیا، پھر’’جماعۃ، شہادۃ، اشارۃ‘‘ وغیرہ سے قیاس کرکے ایک مصدر ایجاد کیا، ’’فلاکۃ/فلاکت‘‘۔ اسے اردو میں ’’مصیبت، پریشانی‘‘ کے معنی دئے گئے اور پھر’’فلاکت زدہ‘‘ جیسے الفاظ بنائے گئے۔ اس پر بھی بس نہ کرکے مَلَکَ/ مملوک وغیرہ سے غلط قیاس کرکے ہم لوگوں نے فَلَکَ/مفلوک بنایا۔ پھر لطف یہ کہ ’’مفلوک‘‘ کو تنہا کبھی استعمال نہیں کیا، لیکن اس فرضی عربی لفظ کو مع الف لام مرکب کرکے’’مفلوک الحال‘‘ بنا لیا، بمعنی ’’جس کا حال [مالی یا سماجی اعتبار سے] بہت پست یا خستہ ہو‘‘۔ آفریں ہے اس قوت ایجاد وابداع پر۔ جو لوگ ’’فلاکت‘‘ اور ’’مفلوک الحال‘‘ کو اس بنا پر مسترد کرتے ہیں کہ یہ عربی میں نہیں ہیں، وہ اردو پر سخت ظلم کرتے ہیں۔ یہ لفظ اردو ہیں اور نہایت پاکیزہ اردو ہیں، عربی میں ہیں یا نہیں، اس سے ہمیں کوئی غرض نہیں۔
