لکھاری یہ عجیب وغریب اور بد صورت لفظ بعض لوگوں نے’’لکھنے والا‘‘ کے معنی میں برتنا شروع کردیا ہے، صرف اس وجہ سے کہ ایک فرانسیسی مصنف رولاں بارت (Roland Barthes) نے ’’مصنف‘‘ کے لئے فرانسیسی لفظ Ecrivain کے علم الرغم ایک لفظ Ecrivant (بمعنی ’’لکھنے والا‘‘) وضع کیا تھا۔ اول تو بارت کی تفریق کچھ بہت زیادہ معنی خیز نہیں، لیکن اگر اس کو اصطلاحی طور پر استعمال ہی کرنا ہے تو ہمارے یہاں ’’قلمکار‘‘ جیسا سبک اور منا سب لفظ مو جود ہے، اس کو چھوڑ کر ایک مضحکہ خیز لفظ ’’لکھاری‘‘ کیوں بنایا جائے؟ دیکھئے، ’’قلمکار‘‘۔
