خود رفتہ بعض لوگ ’’خود رفتہ‘‘ کو غلط قرار دیتے ہیں۔ شوق نیموی نے لکھا ہے کہ فارسی میں ’’خود رفتہ‘‘ دیکھا نہیں گیا، اور’’از خود رفتہ‘‘ میں اردو پن کم ہے، اس لئے میں نہ یہ لکھتا ہوں، نہ وہ لکھتا ہوں، ان کی جگہ میں’’آشفتہ‘‘ لکھتا ہوں۔ سبحان اللہ، گویا فارسی کی اندھی تقلید میں اردو زبان کو دو اچھے بھلے فقروں سے محروم رکھا جائے۔ ’’خود رفتہ‘‘ کو غلط سمجھنے کی کوئی وجہ نہیں۔ اور جہاں ضرورت ہو، یا اچھا معلوم ہو، وہاں’’ازخود رفتہ‘‘ بھی لکھئے۔ مومن نے ’’خود رفتہ‘‘ باندھا ہے ؎ وصل کا عالم نظر میں آ گیا پھرنشہ خود رفتگی کا چھا گیا
