- خط یونانی- ایران میں علاوہ خطِ میخی اور پہلوی کے خطِ آرامی اور ساسانی خُطوط بھی رائج تھے- تِجارت کی وجہ سے فتیقی قوم کا تعلق دُور دُور تک تھا- یونانیوں سے بھی ان کا تعلق بہت قریبی تھا- یونانیوں کو مِصریوں کی تہذیب و تمدن سے بہت فائدہ حاصل کرلے کا موقع مِلا- پہلے یونانیوں لے فنیقیوں اور مصریوں سے حُروف تہجَی سیکھے پھر قبطیوں کے خط سے چھٹی صدی عیسوی میں استخراج کرکے اپنے لئے الگ یونانی حُروفِ تہجَی کی بنا ڈالی- اِن کے ابتدائی حُروف تہجَی ۲۲ تھے جو انگریزی حُورف سے مشابہ ہیں.
