KHat-e-masaavii-ul-haraarat
(جُغرافیہ) ایسی لکیر جو نقشہ پر اُن مقامات کو ملائے جن کا ماہانہ ، یا سالانہ اوسط درجۂ حرارت یکساں ہو. انگریزی میں ان کو Isotherms کہتے ہیں- آئسو سے مُراد ”مساوی یا یکساں“ ہے اور تھرم کے معنی حرارت- اِن خُطوط کا ایک فائدہ یہ ہے کہ اِِن پر ایک نظر ڈالنے سے بحر و بر پہ حرارت کی افقی تقسیم کا اندازہ ہو جاتا ہے. ہم اِنہیں ایسے خطوط بھی کہہ سکتے ہیں جو دو مُختلف درجات حرارت والے مقامات یا عِلاقوں کو ایک دُوسرے سے علیحدہ کرتے ہیں.

وہ چھوٹی سی اُفقی لکیر جو تحریر میں کسی کلمے کو مخصوص یا نمایاں کرنےکے لیے اُس کے اُوپر بشکل مد (~) بنا دی جائے یا سلسلہ شُمار کے عدد کے لیے لکھی جائے جیسے نمبر ۱ ، نمبر ۲ وغیرہ.
