- रक्षा के लिए आर्त पुकार; दुहाई
- कष्ट, संकट, हानि आदि के समय अपनी रक्षा या सहायता के लिए मचाई जानेवाली पुकार। मुहा०-गोहार मारना = सहायता के लिए पुकार मचाना। गोहार लड़ना = पहलवानों आदि का अखाड़े में उतरकर तथा दूसरे पहलवानों आदि को ललकार कर उनसे लड़ना।
