چاندی جیسا ہونا ، روپہلا پن ، ایک روئیدگی ہے ، شاخیں اس میں چھوٹی چھوٹی اور کثرت سے باہر اُلجھی ہوئی ہوتی ہیں اور سب ایک جڑ سے نکلتی ہیں ، تنہ نہیں ہوتا ، پتوں پر سفید نرم روئی کی طرح رُواں ہوتا ہے ، غافقی نے لکھا ہے کہ اسکے زیادہ سفید ہونے کی وجہ سے یہ نام مقرر ہوا ہے ، اسکو پیس کر تازہ زخموں پر لگانے سے خون بند ہو جاتا ہے اور زخم بھر جاتا ہے

(طب) چاندی کی بیماری نیز اس کا اثر ، یہ مرض چاندی یا اس کے مرکّبات کے زیادہ عرصے استعمال کرنے سے پیدا ہو جاتی ہے ، اس میں جلد کی رنگت نیلگوں یا سیاہی مائل ہو جاتی ہے ، لبوں ، نتھنوں اور آنکھ کے پپوٹوں کا رنگ بھی نیلا ہو جاتا ہے.
