بچولیا یہ بدصورت لفظ اہل ہندی نے ان لوگوں کے لئے اختیارکیا ہے جو کسی تجارتی سودے میں خریدار اور بیچنے والے کے درمیان غیر قانونی طور پر گماشتے کا کام کرتے ہیں۔ ایسے لوگوں کو اردو میں ’’میاں جی‘‘ [میان+جی]، اور ان کے کام کو ’’میاں جی گری‘‘ کہتے ہیں۔ میر نے ’’میاں گیری‘‘ استعمال کیا ہے، وہ بھی بہت خوب ہے ؎ پیام اس گل کو پہنچا پھر نہ آئی نہ خوش آئی میاں گیری صبا کی غالب نے بھی علاء الدین احمد خان علائی کے نام ایک خط میں’’میاں جی گری‘‘ لکھا ہے۔ اتنے خوبصورت اور با معنی الفاظ کو ترک کرنا اور ’’بچولیا‘‘ جیسا فضول لفظ اختیار کرنا کہاں کی عقل مندی ہے؟ یہ بات صحیح ہے کہ ’’بچولیا‘‘ بعض اردو لغات، مثلاً شیکسپیئر، اور’’آصفیہ‘‘ میں ملتا ہے، لیکن جدید اردو کا مزاج ایسے لفظ کو قبول نہیں کرتا۔
