ارقام میر کا شعر ہے؎ زباں خامہ کے ہلتے ہی ہزاروں اشک گرتے ہیں حقیقت اپنے دل کی آہ کیا ارقام کرئے اب بعض لوگوں کا خیال ہے کہ ’’ارقام‘‘ غلط ہے، کیوں کہ یہ عربی میں نہیں ہے۔ بے شک یہ عربی میں نہیں ہے، لیکن اردو والوں نے اسے’’رقم‘‘ سے بروزن افعال قیاس کرکے بنا لیا ہے۔ اردو لفظ کی حیثیت سے یہ بالکل صحیح ہے، عربی میں نہیں ہے تو اس سے ہمیں غرض نہیں۔
