علم رمل کے ایک دائرے کا نام جو چار قسم کی (آتشی ، بادی ، آبی اور خاکی) سولہ شکلوں سے مل کر بنتا ہے ، جن میں فرد آتشی کی قیمت بحساب جمل الف کے مساوی (یعنی ایک) ، بادی کی قیمت ب کے مساوی (یعنی دو) ، آبی کی قیمت د کے مساوی (یعنی چار) اور خاکی کی قیمت ح کے مساوی (یعنی آٹھ) مقرر کی گئی ہے ، یہی اس کی وجہ تسمیہ ہے .
