- بحرین میں زنگیوں کا ایک سیاسی گروہ (۸۶۴ ء) ، جس کا سر گروہ ایک شخص علی بن ابان زنگی تھا ، اس نے خود کو علوی ظاہر کر کے عباسیوں کے خلاف خروج کیا اور بصرہ و عراق میں اپنی حکومت قائم کر لی ؛ اس کی وفات کے بعد اس گروہ کا جنگی حاکم سردار علی حکمراں ہوا اور اس نے نبوت کا دعویٰ کر کے تحریک کو مذہبی رنگ دے دیا . آج بھی بحرین میں اس گروہ کے لوگ اکا دکا پائے جاتے ہیں .

- bahriin me.n zangiyo.n ka ek sayaasii giroh (८६४ -e-), jis ka sar giroh ek shaKhs alii bin abaan zangii tha, is ne Khud ko alvii zaahir kar ke abbaasiyo.n ke Khilaaf Khuruuj kiya aur basra-o-iraaq me.n apnii hukuumat qaayam kar lii ; us kii vafaat ke baad is giroh ka jangii haakim sardaar alii hukmaraa.n hu.a aur is ne nabuvvat ka daavaa kar ke tahriik ko mazahbii rang de diyaa . aaj bhii bahriin me.n is giroh ke log ikkaa dukkaa pa.e jaate hai.n
